Education Ministry
At Pine Grove, we place a special emphasis on education and spiritual growth for our members. With that in mind, we offer several different ways of providing classes for our church. We offer Sunday School on Sunday mornings, Discipleship and Bible study on Sunday and Wednesday nights, and the Awana program for children ages 3 - 6th grade on Wednesday nights from September to May.

When Godly People Do Ungodly Things (Beth Moore study for Women)
This 6-session class begins Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 5 PM in room C208. Based on the best-selling book with the same title, the first section of this seven-week study is a warning to believers, while the second section shows women how to prepare for attacks by the Enemy. The third section is directed to those who have been snared by seduction, and compassionately points the way back to God. With 1 Samuel 12:2025 as a guide, Christians can arm themselves against temptation and learn how to help other fallen believers.
This class will be led by Sharon Maze.
Precept Study (Revelation)
This 12-session class which began Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 5 PM will continue in room C206. The class is taught by Burgess Lane. This study will focus on chapters 4-22 of Revelation and the main focus is the end times. Through careful observation of the text, discover exactly what God says will take place. This class will begin in the fall and carry through to next year.
Dare to Be Uncommon (Tony Dungy Study for Men)
This 6-Session class begins Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 5:00 PM. Do you want your life to be Uncommon? Do you want to be known for flashes of goodness and great moments, or as a man of character and integrity in all circumstances?
God's desire is to give meaning and purpose to your life by giving you dreams and goals that only you can accomplish. But every day you're fed messages, expectations, and images that push you to live a life other than the one God has planned for you. How can you counteract those messages? How can you maintain your character, in all parts of your life? Let Super Bowl-Winning Coach Tony Dungy be your coach as you walk together through these questions and more.
This 7-week studywill be led by Bro. Casey and will meet in room C205.
The Tough Sayings of Jesus
This 4-Session class is under way and meets on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM in room A209 The class will be taught by K.D. Frost.
Maybe you think you know Jesus pretty well—the Son of God who is kind, gentle, and loving. But dig deeper in Scripture, and you’ll discover some things Jesus said that are … well, hard to swallow. Those passages often leave us, His modern-day followers, with more questions than answers.
As you explore the historical and cultural context surrounding the four tough sayings found in this Bible study (the rich young ruler in Mark 10, the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15, the unforgivable sin in Matthew 12, and a contradiction about who Jesus is in Matthew 10 and Luke 12), you can develop a level of intimacy with your group that encourages everyone to continue asking questions long after this study is complete. And hopefully, you’ll discover that questions and doubts are OK—and can usually help to deepen and strengthen your faith.

Our Discipleship time is a time that is spent in diving deeper into God's Word. These studies are generally more in depth than the typical Sunday School lesson and often require more time in preparation. At the same time, these classes offer a greater sense of learning and take you right to the heart of the Word.
We offer Discipleship classes on both Sunday night and Wednesday nights.
