WMU Ministry
The WMU at Pine Grove is a special group of ladies that truly have a heart for missions. This is a group that is actively seeking to work in our church and community to further the Kingdom of God. The group is under the leadership of Mrs. Sarah Benefield.
On-going projects:
- A group of ladies go to the Nursing Home each week to shampoo and set the patient’s hair and give cuts and perms as needed.
- Care bags are prepared for the children who are admitted as patients to the local hospital.
- Work at Crisis Center on a weekly scheduled basis
- The Estelle Kelley Mission Group meets every two months (the first Sunday) at Pine Grove in room A 207. They discusses the projects they will participate in. Their facilitator is Connie Tucker. One of their on-going projects is Adopting Nursing Home patients and remembering them with gifts at Christmas, on their birthday and on special days throughout the year. They also give gasoline cards and phone cards to college students and phone cards to members of the military from this area.
- The BMW is the younger ladies' mission group under the leadership of Elizabeth Baker. At the present time they are not meeting on a regular basis.
